Artist Statement/Inspiration:
This piece arrived in the summer through a flow of heart and hands. When I paint, I generally have one variable I start with — a feeling, which may translate to a color.
The emotion I felt came through as two sherbert colors. It had been some time since I felt as light after going throu I felt of joy after going through a period of heaviness, so while I could probably dig deeper and connect meaning with the strokes, I’ll leave it at this. I painted the energy and colors that came through me as I enjoyed a cool summer feeling like myself again and my whimsical heart.

Acrylic and pastel on raw canvas it’s by Daisy Sun 2023.
Includes a natural Maple floater frame - frame adds .5” to the diameter per side and 1” to the depth.
