playground of life 6
Artist Statement/Inspiration:
My father told me that I may have a better life if I lived life more at the level of 3 instead of constantly oscillating across 1’s to 5’s. To be fair, I was troubled and internalized much darkness at the time (he had even gone as far as to install large obsidian balls in the house to collect the negative energy before I was even into crystals).
So while I can see where he was coming from, I felt that the 1’s and 5’s were what makes life colorful, created the human condition through the depths of emotions. Through the discomforts and the play, I am here to explore the depths of my heart — of what it is to be scared, to be vulnerable, to be held, and to grieve, to scream with joy and also of loss. We repeat this with greater depths…generally striving for 1-1.5 standard deviations away from my baseline, to grow at a steady and sustainable rate.
In our perception of time space, we are allowed this 3d human experience. The tangible 3d is a prerequesite for expansion. Without it, we are merely energetic bodies. And while we exist as energetic bodies much greater than physical form, how unbelievable is it that we get to have these physical bodies to play, to feel, to sense, and to expand in the universe?
With connection to our bodies, we have connection to our heart. In this connection, we have our compass. This grounding allows our soul to transcend time space with the flow of universal energy into every moment.
My body plays. She learns, she grows, she reflects, and then repeats this process all over again reaching for a more expansive color palette each time for the vast human experience.
This is the playground of life, and I am grateful to play here with you precious cute souls. The minis from this series are reminders of this. To be human is to have an opportunity to play, and when we play, we expand and THAT my dears is what I believe to be the greatest gift of LIFE.
